AREAS AFFECTED: Kimble, TX
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following county, Kimble. * WHEN...Until 115 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1012 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Junction, Segovia, Yates Crossing, South Llano River State Park, The Intersection Of I-10 And Us 290 and I-10 Near The Kimble-Kerr County Line. - This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 453 and 477. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... Park Road 73 crossing South Llano River, RM 385 crossing Falls Prong, RM 385 crossing Perdenales River, FM 2169 crossing Johnson Fork Creek, James River crossing Little Devils River, County Road 430 crossing Johnson Fork, County Road 430 crossing Joy Creek, KC 451 crossing Johnson Fork, crossings along County Road 410 and Old Segovia Rd. crossing Johnson Fork. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A wall cloud forms underneath the base of a cumulonimbus cloud,
and can be a hotbed for deadly tornadoes.
Wall clouds are formed by air flowing into the cumulonimbus clouds, which can
result in the wall cloud descending from the base of the cumulonimbus cloud, or
rising fractus clouds which join to the base of the storm cloud as the wall cloud
takes shape.
Wall clouds can be very large, and in the Northern Hemisphere they generally
form at the southern edge of cumulonimbus clouds.

Altostratus clouds form at mid to high-level altitudes
(between 2 and 7 km) and are created by a warm, stable air mass which causes
water vapor
to condense as it rise through the atmosphere. Usually altostratus clouds are
featureless sheets characterized by a uniform color.
In some cases, wind punching through the cloud formation may give it a waved
appearance, called altostratus undulatus. Altostratus clouds
are commonly seen with other cloud formations accompanying them.
