Cold Weather Advisory issued February 6 at 12:54PM EST until February 8 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Blacksburg VA
AREAS AFFECTED: Ashe; Alleghany; Watauga; Grayson; Carroll; Floyd; Craig; Alleghany; Roanoke; Botetourt; Rockbridge
DESCRIPTION: * WHAT...For the High Wind Warning, northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 14 below expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest North Carolina and southwest and west central Virginia. * WHEN...For the High Wind Warning, from 7 PM this evening to 7 PM EST Saturday. For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 1 AM Saturday to 7 AM EST Sunday. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
INSTRUCTION: Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

Drizzle is precipitation in the form of water droplets which are
smaller than raindrops.
Drizzle is characterized by fine, gently falling droplets and typically does not
impact human habitation in a negative way. The exception to this is freezing drizzle,
a condition where drizzle freezes immediately upon reaching earth's surface.
Freezing drizzle is still less dangerous than freezing rain, but can
potentially result in hazardous road conditions.

Fog is technically a type of stratus cloud, which lies along the
ground and obscures visibility.
It is usually created when humidity in the air condenses into tiny water droplets.
Because of this, some places are more prone to foggy weather, such as regions
close to a body of water.
Fog is similar to mist; both are the appearance of water droplets suspended in
the air, but fog is the term applied to the condition when visibility is less than 1 km.
